While the realm of hostage negotiation may seem remote to many, the strategies deployed by expert negotiators can be applied in everyday life—whether in resolving conflicts. We will bring your hostage/crisis negotiation team to the next level. The course is designed for individuals such as law enforcement or correctional personnel who may find themselves called upon to manage and negotiate an active hostage situation. This program provides you with a refresher on the latest techniques and best practices in hostage negotiation. This is a basic level course designed for law enforcement and corrections personnel, mental health professionals, supervisors / team leaders and commanders who are assigned to, work. You will be prepared to work as part of a coordinated negotiation team and handle. This course is based on the training recommendations from the national council of negotiation associations and on current research into best practices in the area of negotiation. Attend patc hostage negotiation phase i, ii and iii.
